DO YOU TATTOO DESIGNS MORE THAN ONCE?

  • Only flash designs are tattooed more than once. Customs are designed for just one tattoo.

DO YOU TAKE A DEPOSIT?

  • Yes! I require a $50 deposit for flash designs, and $100 for custom designs. The deposit will be applied to the total cost of your tattoo for flash designs only. For custom projects, this deposit goes towards drawing time. (For every hour of tattooing a custom design, I spend on average 1.5 hours for drawing that design.) Your deposit acts as a place-holder for our appointment and is NON-REFUNDABLE. If you are more than 30 minutes late for your appointment, your deposit will NOT be refunded or re-applied if we need to re-schedule.

WHEN WILL YOU TRAVEL TO MY STATE/COUNTRY?

  • All of my travel/guest spot information will be posted on my Instagram page. Keep an eye out!

  • My minimum is $200 for small tattoos.

HOW DOES THIS PROCESS WORK FROM START TO FINISH?

  • FOR CUSTOM PROJETS:
Once I’ve announced that my books are open, head over to my booking page to fill out a submission form. Once you've heard back from me with a price estimate and any thoughts I have regarding your design idea, we can move forward with scheduling an appointment date and collecting a $100 deposit. You will receive a drawing mock-up a day or so before your appointment. When tattoo day arrives, we'll look at the final design together and make any necessary changes. Once your tattoo is finished and wrapped up you can pay at the Birdhouse.

  • FOR PRE-DRAWN (FLASH) PROJECTS:
Via my newsletter, I will announce when my books are open for flash design bookings. All of my designs will be available in a flash “store,” where each design can be purchased as a first come, first serve basis. Soon after claiming your design, I will follow up with an additional email with instructions on how to book your appointment.

I HAVE A CUSTOM APPOINTMENT SCHEDULED WITH YOU. WILL I BE ABLE TO SEE A MOCK-UP?

  • I do my best to send design photos via email or text the day before your appointment. Any renditions will be made before I see you.

WHAT TYPE OF IMAGERY IS OFF THE TABLE FOR TATTOOING? WHAT DO YOU LOVE DRAWING?

  • I loooove drawing animals of any kind, and bugs too, the stranger the better. Mystical elements are always wonderful to draw or add to a design, and I will always say yes to floral concepts. Expressive line work and cross hatching is my ultimate love.
Imagery that I won’t say yes to include: art from another artist (especially an existing tattoo), cultural symbolism (i.e. tribal tattoos, traditional Asian imagery, etc.), landscapes, human portraits, mandalas, geometric designs, compasses, vehicles, or anything in a watercolor style.

HOW SHOULD I TAKE CARE OF MY HEALING TATTOO?

  • I will send you home with specific aftercare instructions, but the biggest rule of thumb is keep your tattoo clean.

WHAT IF MY TATTOO "FALLS OUT" DURING THE HEALING PROCESS?

  • I offer a free touch up session for tattoos under 6 months of age. Head over to Birdhouse Tattoo's booking page to book your complimentary touch up appointment. Tattoos over the age of 6 months cost $50 to touch up.

CAN I TAKE ONE OF YOUR DESIGNS TO ANOTHER TATTOO ARTIST?

  • Nah. Your tattoo will look better if the original artist does the work.
